Over the past week, Team 3189 made significant progress across all departments:
Mechanical: Worked on intake mounting extrusion, motor L-bracket, Swyft arm to replace coral lifting, assembling the planetary gearbox, milling climber extrusions, assembling the telescopic arm, and adding new extrusion mounting on the CNC machine.
Electrical: Wired the swerve drives, updated internal resistance values on batteries, worked on the NEO 550, and designed the electrical board.
Programming: Completed the climber subsystem, added manual soft limits for the coral multiplier, implemented soft limits for the v2 coral elevator, troubleshot multiplier brake mode, configured algae intake rotation, finished autonomous paths capable of scoring up to three game pieces, and refined the algae intake roller configuration.
CAD: Finalized the Rev 2 frame, completed all prototype climbers, designed the Thrifty Bot elevator, worked on several coral manipulator designs, and mounted climbers to the v2 robot.
The goals for next week are as follows:
Mechanical: Begin assembling the frame from CAD and develop a prototype for the robot v2.
Programming: Work on articulation code and refine algae intake constants and configurations.
Electrical: Wiring motors and designing electrical board as well as continue updating battery resistance values.
CAD: Finalize the frame design and begin designing the algae intake for v2 robot
